Nikita Akulov began his music studies in his home-town, Chelyabinsk, and then he went on to perfect his skills in Ekaterinburg. Having received tutelage by Irina Bochkova, he graduated from Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory with a Bachelor of Music. Already during his university years, he acted as the primarius of the Moscovite Musica Viva chamber orchestra, then he was appointed first violinist of the Moscow State Chamber Orchestra. Currently, Mr Akulov is a student at Maastricht Academy of Music in Kyoko Yonemoto’s class and is a member of the Le Concert Olympique Antwerpen symphony orchestra.
