Naoko Tajima was admitted to the Julliard School Pre-College in 2005 to study with Ann Setzer then she went on to take a masterclass with Zakhar Bron at the Mozarteum Summer Academy. She has been heard as a soloist and chamber musician at famed concert venues such as the Carnegie Hall Weill Recital Hall or the Stern Auditorium. She won 1st prize in the New York Competition both 2007 and 2010. She was also the winner of the LISMA International Music Competition in New York in 2010. In October 2016, she was selected as one of the best ten violinists at the Concert Artists Guild International Competition. Naoko currently studies at The Juilliard School as a full scholarship student with Donald Weilerstein, Li Lin and Frank Huang.
