Ms Ishigami began studying the violin at the age of five, and she was eight when she was invited to the International Music Festival in Rome. She won the 2nd and the special audience prize aged sixteen, and at the 77th Japanese Music Competition, she collected the Nakamichi Special Award. She has been the laureate of further international music contests in Romania and the Czech Republic. Ms Ishigami was featured in a Japanese documentary film of the Japanese public televison and her concert with the Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra was aired live. As a soloist, she has collaborated with many a renowned orchestra, such as the symphony orchestras of Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka and Brasov. She also often takes to the stage with different chamber music ensembles as well.
