Maria Florea was born in Barcelona in 1993 and started her violin studies at the age of four with her cellist and conductor father. Just at the age of seven, she made her debut as a soloist with the Montbèliard Orchestra. She has studied under the tutelage of Gonçal Comellas, Stefan Gheorghiu, Adelina. From 2010 to 2014, Ms Florea attended the Reina Sofia College of Music in Madrid under the guidance of Zakhar Bron and Yuri Volguin. She completed her master’s degree with distinction at the Royal Academy of Music in London with György Pauk. Ms Florea has performed as soloist in the Palau de la Musica Catalana in Barcelona and has appeared on the stages of many other countries, such as France, Germany, Bulgaria, Ecuador or the UK. At the moment she is in the postgraduate programme of the Mozarteum in Salzburg with Rainer Schmidt.
