Ms Kitagawa has been the laureate of many violin competitions worldwide, among others the Beethoven International String Competition in Vienna in 2012, the International Solo Violin Competition in Cremona in 2014, in 2016 the 1st International Nałęczów & Violin Competition in Poland, the Singapore Violin Festival Competition and of numerous significant Japanese violin contests. This year, she was awarded the Grand Prize at the ABC Music Festival Audition in Japan. Ms Kitagawa commenced her violin studies with Yasuhiro Aoyama in Gifu and now she is at the Tokyo National University of the Arts under the tutelage of Takashi Shimizu. As a soloist, she has collaborated, among others, with the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, the Viennese Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, the Haydn Chamber Orchestra and the New Japan Symphonica
