Born in Seoul, South Korea, violinist Hannah Cho began her musical studies at the age of three in San Jose, California. She completed her Bachelor of Music studies at the Juilliard School under the guidance of Cho-Liang Lin and Masao Kawasaki and is continuing her studies as a Master of Music degree student with Mr Kawasaki and Joel Smirnoff. In recent years, Ms Cho has competed in fifteen violin contests. Her repertoire ranges from J. S. Bach and Paganini to Ernest Bloch and Robert Sierra. She has been a soloist – among others – with the Aspen Philharmonic or New York’s Riverside Orchestra. In addition to her solo endeavours, Hannah is an active chamber and orchestral musician and has enriched her skills at various international workshops, such as the International Summer Academy of the Mozarteum University Salzburg or the Kronberg Academy Masterclasses in Germany.
