Anna Tanaka

Ms Tanaka was born in in Japan in 1996, where she began playing the violin at the age of five. From 2006 to 2015 she studied at the Novosibirsk Special Music School (College) in Russia in the class of Marina Kuzina. Since 2016, she has been studying at the Reina Sofía School of Music in Madrid in the class of Zakhar Bron. Ms Tanaka has won several prizes at international competitions, including 1st prize at the 2nd International Yankelevich Competition, the 2nd prize at the International Violin Competition at Kloster Schöntal in Germany in 2012 and was presented with the Grand Prix at the 7th International Competition in Vladivostok in 2013. In 2014 and 2015 she played at the Trans-Siberian Art Festival in Novosibirsk, as well as during the Stars of the White Nights Festival in St. Petersburg.
