Emanuele Zanforlin (violin)

Demian Herzog (viola)

Milena Umiglia (cello)

In 2019 four students of the Zürich High School of Music founded the Modulor String Quartet. In addition to its concert activities as a classical string quartet, the young ensemble also devotes itself with great interest to interdisciplinary projects. The quartet received important musical impulses from Matthias and Wendy Enderle (Carmina Quartet), Cobus Swanepoel, Alexander Sitkovetsky (Julia Fischer Quartet), Monika Baer (concertmaster of the baroque-ensemble La Scintilla) and Thomas Grossenbacher (former first solo cellist of the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich). The Modulor String Quartet has played in venues such as the Festival 4 Saisons in Lausanne, the Vier Jahreszeiten Streams in Kreuzlingen, the Hombis-Salon in Zürich and the St. Galler Festspiele, in collaboration with the Theater St. Gallen and the choreographer Yuki Mori.
