The Unison Quartet was founded by former and current students of The Juilliard School in New York. The took part in the Perlman Music Program by Itzhak Perlman in June 2021, the Juilliard String Quartet Seminar by Roger Tapping and Areta Zhulla in May 2019 as well as by Ronald Copes and Astrid Schween in December 2018. Recently they performed at the Aspen Music Festival Center for Advanced Quartet Studies (July 2021), after holding concerts at the Juilliard String Quartet Seminar, the Juilliard Chamber Music Recital and the Kneisel Hall Benefit Concert in 2018-2019. The ensemble’s coaches were and are Darrett Adkins, Ronald Copes, Kirsten Docter, Todd Phillips, Astrid Schween, Joel Smirnoff, Laurie Smukler, Roger Tapping, Donald Weilerstein and Areta Zhulla.
