The international prize winning Novo Quartet, based in Copenhagen, was formed in 2018. Currently tutored at the Royal Danish Academy of Music, they are protégés of Tim Frederiksen. Novo Quartet recently received the Léonie Sonning Talent Award 2021 and won the national Danish Radio Chamber Music Competition in 2020, and it was awarded the Grand Prize of the 2020 ENKOR International Chamber Music Competition and in 2019 won both the Køge Chamber Music Competition and the scholarship competition of the Royal Danish Academy of Music. In the same year, they reached the semi-finals at Carl Nielsen International Chamber Music Competition whilst also making their international debut in Shanghai and their European debut in the Netherlands at the architecture festival Tilburg is Mooi.
