Two fantastic pieces for violin and piano

 

"It is a composition comprised of two movements. It is written for performers of various professional levels. It gives musicians an opportunity to demonstrate their sense of rhythm, sense of phrasing and dynamic nuances, and technical level as well. The work can be included in concert repertoires of different epochs and styles."

 

Eduard Kiprskiy graduated from the St Petersburg Conservatory and completed a postgraduate study there in piano and composition also completing a Master’s degree and attaining the highest grade of Artistic Excellence at the Folkwang Universität der Künste in Essen (Germany).

Prize-winner at the Cyprus International Competition in the composition category (2020, 1st prize and Special Award for best vocal works). Prize-winner at the VII International Composition Competition in Memory of Alfred Schnittke and Sviatoslav Richter (Sochi, 2021, 3rd prize in the string quartet category). Prize-winner at the V All-Russian Open festival competition “Composer and pianist” (St Petersburg, 2021; 1st prize) and at the V International Alemdar Karamanov Musical Competition (Kaliningrad, 2022; Grand Prix). He was also awarded 2nd prize and silver medal in the composition category at the Rachmaninoff International Competition for pianists, composers and conductors (Moscow, 2022).

Has presented recitals at Vienna’s Musikverein, Zurich’s Tonhalle, the Funkhaus and Kunsthistorisches Museum (Vienna), the Mercatorhalle (Duisburg), the Zollverein Halle and the Colosseum Theater (Essen), the Philharmonie Essen, the Theater Duisburg, the Vereeniging Hall (Nijmegen), the Musis Sacrum concert hall (Arnhem) and the Teatro Verdi in Bussetto.

Has collaborated with Martin Haselböck, Thierry Escaich, Mario Brunello, Martin Sieghart, Simon Estes, Vladimir Fedoseyev, Ildar Abdrazakov, Elena Pankratova and Yulia Makhalina. In 2021 the author’s album Eduard Kiprsky. In Ensemble with the Composer.

 

Member of the ÖGZM union of composers of contemporary music in Vienna and of the Russian Harp Society. Soloist with the Mariinsky Orchestra.
