Igor Egorov was born in Tosno, Leningrad region, and studied in the Glinka Choir College from 2001 until 2010 when he finished his education with the State Prize of the Russian Federation Sergei Dzevanovsky. Afterwards, he studied at the Rimsky-Korsakov Saint Petersburg State Conservatory between 2010 and 2015 in the class of Valery Vishnevsky, awarded by the scholarship of the governor of Saint Petersburg. He won third prize at the Stockholm International Music Competition (Sweden, 2014), fourth prize at the M. A. Balakirev International Piano Competition in Krasnodar (Russia, 2014). He participated in the festival International Conservatory Week Festival (St. Petersburg, Russia) in 2014, that same year he took master classes with Dmitri Bashkirov and Andrei Diev. In 2015 he collaborated with the instrumental soloists of the Mariinsky Theatre.
