Sébastien Pellet studied at the Liszt Academy in Budapest with Attila Némethy and András Kemenes from 2018, then earned his Master’s degree at the Hochschule für Musik Basel under Zoltán Fejérvári. He is currently continuing his studies at the Liszt Academy with Dénes Várjon. He won 2nd prize at the Békéscsaba National Piano Competitions in 2015 and 2018, and 1st prize at the 2017 National Harpsichord Competition. In 2021, he won first prize in two categories at the Los Angeles International Liszt Competition, in addition to the American Liszt Society Special Prize and the Special Prize for Best Performance. In 2024, he was awarded 2nd prize at the International Béla Bartók Piano Competition in Graz, and was a semi-finalist and special prize winner for best chamber music performance at the International Franz Liszt Competition in Weimar. He has performed at major venues in Hungary, including the Grand Hall of the Liszt Academy and the Béla Bartók National Concert Hall of Müpa. In 2022, he appeared with the Sinfonieorchester Basel at the Stadtcasino Basel. He has also played as a soloist with several Hungarian orchestras. He has been awarded the Zoltán Kocsis Prize and the Junior Prima Award (2022), and the Fischer Annie Scholarship (2024).
