Date of birth: 7 May, 1995

Motoshi Miyazato completed his studies at Tokyo University of the Arts, where he was recognized multiple times in 2018 for his outstanding achievements. He went on to pursue graduate studies at the Tokyo College of Music, earning his degree in 2021. He is currently studying under Professor Benjamin Moser at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. Miyazato has won numerous competitions in Japan, including first prize in the G Category of the 36th PTNA Piano Competition (2012) and the Tokyo College of Music Competition (2021). In 2023, he was a semifinalist at the 5th Takamatsu International Piano Competition. In 2024, he was awarded first prize of the Hella Siegrist Scholarship. In addition to the classical repertoire, Miyazato is deeply committed to contemporary music. He has premiered works by Koji Takahashi and recorded compositions by Teruyuki Noda.
