Jaeyoon Lee studied at the Seoul Arts Center Prodigy Music Academy and Korea National University of Arts. Her artistic development is supported by the mentorship of Pavel Gililov, currently studying with him at the Mozarteum University Salzburg. She was a First Prize winner of the prestigious International Robert Schumann Competition Düsseldorf and won the Grand Prix at the International Vyacheslav Sobolevsky Piano Competition (Russia). In 2023, she was awarded Second Prize at the Svetislav Stančić International Piano Competition ‘In memoriam Dmitry Bashkirov’ (Zagreb), and won the International Piano Competition Neuchâtel – Val de Travers (Switzerland). She was awarded the Slovak Philharmonic Prize in 2024 and will be giving concerts at the Philharmonic in the coming season. Her recent and upcoming performances include those at the Oxford Piano Festival, Salzburg Festival, Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival, Yamaha Artist Center Korea, Haus der Kultur Austria, Villa Medici Giulini and Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall in Zagreb. She has received artistic inspiration from renowned pianists such as Alfred Brendel, Richard Goode, and Stephen Kovacevich.
