Elemér György Balázs began playing the piano with Ágnes Práda at the age of six. He finished the classical piano and composition class of the Bartók Béla Secondary School of Music as the student of Imre Hargitai and Árpád Barabás. He took part in master classes run by Gábor Takács-Nagy, Rita Wagner, Zoltán Fejérvári, Ian Fountain and Kálmán Dráfi. His numerous competition wins include the grand prix and special prize from the National Vocational Secondary School Piano Competition. He has performed at the Liszt Academy, the Hungarian Institute in Paris, on Studio 6 of Hungarian Radio, at the Institute of Musicology of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and the Music Library of Budapest Music Center. He regularly appears at chamber music productions and holds classical improvization recitals. His stage accompaniment music written for the work Octopus by Sándor Weöres is currently on the programme of Ódry Theatre.
