She began to study music at the age of six. Few years later she was accepted to the Special Music School for Gifted Children in Kazan. She graduated with honors from the Kazan State Conservatory in 2015 under Elfia Burnasheva. In 2014–2016 she received full scholarship for her master’s degree at the Royal College of Music in London under Vanessa Latarche. She is currently continuing her postgraduate studies at the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory under Eliso Virsaladze. She won prizes at various competitions in Russia and abroad as well, and participated in master classes by Nikolai Petrov, Vladimir Petrushansky, Sofya Gulyak, Pascal Devoyon, Alexander Bonduryansky, and Dmitri Bashkirov. Alena Kliavina has appeared as a soloist in the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory, in the Duke’s Hall at the Royal Academy of Music in London, as well as in Italy, France and Greece.
