Date of birth: 19 November, 1999

Yamakage Raika studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and obtained highest score in the first diploma exam and Awarded Benjamin Prize in 2022. He took part in masterclasses of such renowned musicians as professor Christian Altenburger, and was awarded first prize at the junior high school section of the Student Music Concours of Japan, third prize at the Josef Sivo International Competition in 2018 and at the Ysaÿe International Music Competition in 2022, among others. He already performed with Hiroshima Symphony Orchestra, several times at the Loisiarte Festival in Langenlois, Austria, during last year at the Beethoven Frühling Festival in Wiener Neustadt, Austria, at the Weissensee Klassik Festival in Weissensee, Austria and at the St. Gallen Musik Festival in St. Gallen (Austria). In 2023, he was selected as a Yamaha Scholaship Student.
