Mio Sasaki began her bachelor’s study at Osaka University in 2016 with the major of “italian study”, and since 2019, she studies at Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg with professor Christoph Schickedanz. In the past years she took part in seminars such as at Sommerakademie Leutkirch with Christoph Schickedanz, Roland Glassl and Jan Ickert, International Mendelssohn Summer School in Hamburg with Christian Alternburger and Sebastian Schmidt, Brixen Music Festival with Daniel Geiss, Stanko Madić and Johannes Baumann, Talent Summer Courses in Brescia with Yuzuko Horigome and masterclass at Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg with Midori. She succeeded in numerous competitions: Elise Meyer Competition (2nd prize, 2020 and 3rd prize, 2021), International Chamber Music Competition “Luigi Nono” (2nd prize in the solo category, 2021 and 1st prize in both solo and chamber music categories, 2022), International Concerto Competition in Brescia (2022), and at Tiziano Rossetti International Music Competition (1st prize and management prize, 2023). She performed at several prestigious venues all around Europe.
