Carlos Rafael Martínez Arroyo recently obtained his bachelor’s degree at the Manhattan School of Music under Pinchas Zukerman, as well as Patinka Kopec and continues his master’s studies with Mark Steinberg at the same institution. He was selected three times as one of the members of “Proyecto Talentos”, organized by Madrid Symphony Orchestra, getting to perform as a chamber musician in Auditorio Nacional de Música. He has also been selected to participate in Isaac Albéniz Festival in Camprodon, Forum Musicae, Young Artist Program in Ottawa, Blackmore’s Berlins Musikzimmer, Ashkenasi–Kirschbaum Chamber Music Seminar of the Heifetz International Music Institute, and the Robert Mann String Quartet Institute, getting the opportunity to work with musicians such as Nicholas Mann, David Geber, Shmuel Ashkenasi, Ralph Kirshbaum, Philip Setzer, Eugene Drucker, Nicholas Kitchen, Augustin Hadelich, Frederik Øland, Fredrik Sjölin, Rainer Küchl, David Grimal, Pinchas Zukerman, Mark Steinberg, Samuel Rhodes, among others. He performed in concert halls in Spain, Sweden, the United States and Mexico. He is currently featured artist of the Ensemble Voyagers in the Hawaii Chamber Music Festival, Midori & Friends foundation and Heifetz Ensemble in Residence.
