Wenqi Ke is currently pursuing her master’s degree at the prestigious Colburn Conservatory of Music, where she is studying under the tutelage of Robert Lipsett. In 2014, she achieved the remarkable distinction of being awarded the first prize at the Hong Kong International String Competition, as well as earning a scholarship from the Shanghai City Government. Wenqi has garnered significant experience performing with esteemed orchestras, including the Shanghai Chamber Orchestra and the Colburn Orchestra, where she has appeared as a soloist. She has also held several prominent positions, such as assistant principal second violin of the American Youth Symphony, assistant concertmaster of the Seiji Ozawa Matsumoto Festival, assistant concertmaster of the New York String Orchestra Seminar, concertmaster of Music Academy of the West, and principal of the Colburn Orchestra. In 2021, she was honored with the London Symphony Orchestra’s Keston Max audition and has since performed in the assistant concertmaster chair under Sir Simon Rattle with the London  Symphony Orchestra.
