Miriam Magdalena Haniková is currently studying violin at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague in the class of professor Bohuslav Matoušek and Pavel Kudelásek. She is 1st prize winner of the international music competition Talents for Europe, absolute winner of the international music competition Pro Bohemia and the Josef Micka International Violin Competition. In 2022 she won the 3rd prize at the 26th edition of the prestigious Concorso Cameristico Internazionale “Giulio Rospigliosi” competition, and has been awarded twice at the Václav Hudeček Academy. She performed at the festival Dvořák Prague in Rudolfinum with Czech Sinfonietta under batton of Radek Baborák (Berliner Philharmoniker), with the Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava, the Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra Olomouc, the State Chamber Orchestra Žilina, Capella Istropolitana, the Ensemble 18+ Chamber Orchestra, the Moravian-Silesian Sinfonietta and she collaborated with renowned conductors such as Nuno Coelho, David Švec, Serhiy Khorovets and others. She is also performing chamber music, especially in a long-term collaboration with her sister, pianist Johanna Haniková, with whom she has performed also at the Prague Spring festival.
