Dan-Iulian Drutac moved to London in 2013 after being awarded a full scholarship at the Whitgift School in the Whitgift International Music Competition, and he studied privately with David Takeno, continuing his studies with him as a scholarship student at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. He is the winner of Guildhall’s Lutine Prize and finalist of the Gold Medal 2018. Since 2021, he has been studying with Zakhar Bron in Reina Sofía School of Music. He had his London debut in 2015 at the Royal Festival Hall, and is a co-founder of Moldo Crescendo, a chamber music festival in Moldova, member of the Fitzroy Quartet since 2019. He has performed alongside youth orchestras of Moldova, Romania, the UK, as well as with the Guildhall Symphony Orchestra, the Transylvania State Philharmonic Orchestra and others. He took part of masterclasses of Chloë Hanslip, Daniel Hope, Corina Belcea, Alexandru Tomescu, Johannes Meissl, Patrick Jüdt, Hatto Beyerle, Máté Szűcs, Maya Ibawuchi, Ralf Gothóni, Günter Pichler, among others.
