Liszt Academy Season Tickets 2020/21

2020. április 7.

As in previous years, our latest season tickets are characterized by a rich programme and excellent performers. The stars of Baroque music return to the Liszt Academy: Julia Lezhneva, accompanied by the Venice Baroque Orchestra, and Isabelle Faust (who is playing historical music in Budapest for the first time) will take the stage with Il Giardino Armonico, featuring conductor Giovanni Antonini. Our Complete Works series continue with Bartók’s chamber music pieces composed for violin, starring Kristóf Baráti and with performances by such excellent musicians as Ágnes Langer, Júlia Pusker, Máté Szűcs, Zoltán Fejérvári, Dénes Várjon, Csaba Klenyán, Roman Rabinovich, Giovanni Guzzo and Julian Steckel, who gained recognition with his victory at the 2010 ARD Competition. The members of the Les Vents Français, Emmanuel Pahud, François Leleux, Paul Meyer, Gilbert Audin and Radovan Vlatković will take the stage in our chamber music series. At the other concerts of the season ticket, world-renowned artists of international concert halls will perform together with fellow Hungarian musicians: in addition to Péter Nagy, Dóra Kokas and László Fenyő, the audience in the Grand Hall can enjoy performances by Daniel Hope, Claudio Bohórquez, Maxim Rysanov, Vadim Kholodenko and Jiyeong Mun. For the first time, László Fassang and two celebrated artists, the British David Titterington and the Swedish Hans-Ola Ericsson, will perform solo concerts on the renovated instrument of the Grand Hall of the Liszt Academy as part of our organ season ticket. In the Talent Obliges series, young talents of the Liszt Academy will showcase their art at thematic evenings built around a specific composer, nation or genre. And the Liszt Kidz Academy in the autumn will shed light on oddball musicians.
