Bartók World Competition

List of competitors making it through the online qualifying round has been postponed to 20 April

Please, be informed that due to the high number of applications, the list of the applicants having qualified for the preliminary round of the International Violin Competition of the Bartók World Competition & Festival will be published on 20 April, 2017, five days after the originally announced date.

Following this date, the contestants will be personally contacted by the competition organisers and be given details on the payment of the application fee and other organisation-related practical issues. Eventual repertoire change requests may also be presented then.

As already announced, the videos submitted for the online qualifying round will be evaluated by a local jury of three prominent Hungarian violinists and professors of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music – Vilmos Szabadi, Géza Kapás and Péter Kováts.
