Composition Competition 2018 has started

Composers under the age of 40 are invited from all over the world to make their application with a piano solo piece by no later than 31 August. The winning compositions will be performed at the Award Ceremony and Gala Concert on 25 November and will be selected into the repertoire of the Bartók World Competition & Festival – Piano Competition 2019.
Already with its first featured category in 2017 – the violin – the competition series positioned itself among the most prestigious music contests of the world. Such and similar music events represent considerable episodes in the international music scene, and they are significant catalysts in the professional development and international acclaim of young talents. The Bartók World Competition is not only an instrumental competition series taking place every two years. It is completed with the composition competition in between with musicological symposia and a highly colourful programme schedule dedicated to delight the audience turning the event into a week-long music festival.
